Newborn Q&A

A newborn photoshoot captures your baby’s earliest and most precious moments—tiny details, peaceful expressions, and the love surrounding them. Have questions?

When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?

The ideal time is within the first 5 to 14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and most curled up.

2

How long does a newborn session take?

Typically, 1 to 3 hours, allowing time for feeding, changing, and soothing your baby as needed.

3

Where does the session take place?

Session are held in my home studio based in Edenderry Co Offaly.

4

What should we bring to the session?

Bring extra diapers, wipes, a pacifier, and anything sentimental you’d like in the photos (like a blanket or toy). I provide wraps, props, and accessories.

4

Can parents and siblings be in the photos too?

Absolutely! Family shots are always welcome and are included in some of our packages. If they're not part of the one you choose, no worries—you can easily add them for a small fee.

4

What if my baby is fussy or won’t sleep?

That’s completely normal. I work with your baby’s rhythm, allowing plenty of time to settle them. Patience and calm are part of every session

4

When will we receive our photos?

In a couple of days, you’ll receive your proof gallery where you can choose your favorite images—the ones you love and want me to edit. Once you’ve made your selection, I’ll get started on the edits and have them ready for you within 1–2 weeks, depending on how busy I am.

4

What is a meaning of a Proof galery?

A proof gallery is a collection of unedited  photos that I will  shares with a client after a session. It allows the client to: Preview the images from their shoot and Select their favourites for final editing and retouching.

4

What should we wear?

Soft, neutral tones work best. Avoid bold patterns or logos. I’m happy to help with outfit coordination in advance!
